PROTECTIVE CLOTHING THAT MUST BE USED FOR ALL WORK:
- Safety Glasses - Must be employed when working with any process that
could throw off debris that would break non-safety glass.
- Face Shields - N/A
- Rubber Boots - N/A
- Safety Goggles - Should be worn when using chemicals that can cause eye damage.
- Aprons - N/A
- Gloves - Latex rubber. When working with chemicals or other materials
that warrant the use of protective gloves, proper glove selection is critical.

GENERAL HOUSEKEEPING RULES:
Return all apparatus and chemicals to original storage area after use.
WASTE DISPOSAL RULES:
Place hazardous waste in labelled containers for disposal.
FUME HOOD USE: None
CHEMICAL STORAGE:
Store chemicals in appropriate area, e.g. shelves, cabinets.
SPECIAL TRAINING REQUIRED:
CHEMICAL SPILL CLEANUP PROCEDURES:
- Notify other lab personnel.
- Evacuate lab if necessary.
- Use eyewash or shower if necessary.
- Use chemical clean-up kit in hallway.
- For large spills, clear the area of personnel and call the University Operations Center (5-5560).
